Welcome to our community! The Ladies Community Inc. (“TLC”) owns and operates this website, blogs, social media pages, app and social media accounts (collectively, the “TLC Platform”).
This Posting Policy applies to those who choose to use the TLC Platform. By using the TLC Platform and submitting a comment, photo, video and/or other materials, you (and your parent/legal guardian if you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of this Posting Policy.
While we will not be able to monitor every posting, we reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove, edit or otherwise modify any content that does not adhere to this Posting Policy and/or the social platform’s terms and policies.
Please respect other users. Do not post any comments or other materials that are inappropriate, abusive or otherwise offensive, all as determined by us in our sole discretion and in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
If you commit any act that subjects TLC or any user of the TLC Platform to public hatred, contempt, scorn, ridicule, unsubstantiated allegations of misconduct or disrepute, or shocks or offends the community or which TLC otherwise deems inappropriate, indecent, obscene hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous, promotes bigotry, sexism, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age or not in line with TLC’s ethos, then TLC shall have the right to immediately terminate your access to the TLC Platform. You will not engage in any conduct that would disparage, denigrate, portray in an unfavorable light or bring TLC, the TLC Platform, TLC users, TLC’s brand, events, products and/or services into public disrepute, contempt or scandal.
TLC shall have the right to remove any content from the TLC Platform in its sole discretion at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, any online comment or posting it deems inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous, promotes bigotry, sexism, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age or not in line with TLC’s brand image.
We respect intellectual property laws and require that you do the same. Do not post or submit any third party materials unless you have first obtained consent from the owner of such materials.
Promoting your own business, related advertisements, self promotions and/or non-TLC events is prohibited in the TLC Platform, unless you have been granted express written consent from TLC. Any prohibited posts will be deleted without notice. If you are interested in posting content relating to your commercial enterprise, please apply as an official brand partner. If a partnership is agreed upon between both parties, a Brand Partnership Contract will then set out how we govern third party relationships with TLC. We do consent to posting about your own business and/or event as a response made to an inquiry made by a TLC member on the TLC Platform. Please contact TLC at Hello@TheLadiesCommunity.com
Comments or opinions expressed on the page are those of their respective contributors only.
In addition to the rights that you grant to social platform, you (and your parent/legal guardian if you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) hereby: (i) grant to TLC and its affiliates, in perpetuity, a world-wide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use your submitted content (in any format or media); and (ii) waive all moral rights in and to your submitted content in favour of TLC and anyone authorized by TLC to reproduce or otherwise use the content.
Please remember that this page is public. For your own safety, please do not post or submit any personal information about yourself or third parties.
You (and your parent/legal guardian if you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) hereby agree to release and hold harmless TLC, its affiliated companies and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims based on the materials you post and/or submit, including (but not limited to) claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trade-mark infringement or any other intellectual property related cause of action.
Why has my post been deleted?
1. You have created an event with “TLC” and/or “The Ladies Community” in the title.
Only events organized by the TLC team have “TLC” and/or “The Ladies Community” in the title of the event. Any other event is not affiliated with our organization.
2. You are advertising and/or self-promoting.
Promoting your business and related advertisements/self-promotions are prohibited and will be deleted without notice. This includes anything you financially benefit from directly or indirectly including free offers, discounts, selling items etc. This also includes anything you benefit from beyond financial gain ie. obtaining new clients, building your email list, getting results from a survey or opinion poll etc.
Also prohibited: i) Posting an external link unless it is in response to a member asking for advice or for a recommendation. We have zero tolerance for misuse of this exception. If misused, your post will be removed without notice. ii) Private messaging group members for business/sales purposes, self-promotion and advertising.
Posting advertisements and self-promotional content more than once will result in removal from our community without notice.
3. You have posted about an event you financially benefit from OR any post promoting a third party event
All event posts are no longer allowed on our page and will be removed without notice. This includes sharing a post promoting an event or posting about an event you financially benefit from (or not). The only exception is if you are planning to attend an event and are looking for other TLC members to join you.
Posting an external link about an event is prohibited unless it is in response to a member asking for advice/recommendations and is relevant to that. We have zero tolerance for misuse of this exception. If misused, your post will be removed without notice.
Posting events posts more than once will result in removal from our community without notice.
4. You are posting negative content ie. all posts that include male bashing, ranting, racism, homophobia, derogatory comments and the like.
At TLC we work hard to keep the good vibes flowing in our uplifting community. This means avoiding negativity and overall negative posts on our discussion board. We really believe that what we focus on expands and instead, support our members through uplifting words and tips and tricks to cope.
Posting negative content more than once will result in removal from our community without notice.
5. Why hasn’t a post been deleted?
i) TLC is not monitored 24/7
Although we try our best, this group isn’t monitored 24/7. As our group continues to grow we most certainly try our best to delete all posts that don’t meet the above guidelines including advertisements, events and negative posts. If you see a post before we get to it and believe it does not meet our group guidelines, we welcome you to report the post using Facebook’s reporting feature and we will take it from there :)
ii) TLC Business Divas
TLC has a membership plan that allows official partners, collaborators and sponsors to post advertisements and promote with our permission. If you’re open to collaborating, cross-promoting, and partnership with TLC, we’d love to chat! To learn more, head to our membership page on our website here.
6. Last but not least….
i) Use of photos - TLC reserves the right to publish photos taken by ourselves and members at our TLC run events for use on our social media, website and for press and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be in an photo that may be used for any of the above purposes, we suggest try your best to step out of the photo or ask the photographer not to share the photo with our group and/or TLC team. If you see a photo that has been taken and used without your knowledge and would like to request its removal, please let us know by emailing our team
ii) Use of comments - TLC reserves the right to republish all submitted comments on our Facebook group and page. Members grant to TLC a worldwide, royalty free, non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify or otherwise use any submitted content. All members waive their moral rights to all submitted content.
iii) Medical advice, legal advice, and the like - When it comes to advice in the areas indicated, we suggest you speak to a professional relevant to your inquiry. As you can see, TLC’s Facebook community is comprised of user-generated content. Members indemnify TLC from harm in relation to their use of the TLC platform. Each member uses information obtained from the TLC Facebook community at their own risk. TLC does not endorse the comments/information provided by any third party. The only exception? Asking for advice and a recommendation for a great medical/healthcare/legal professional is totally ok, feel free to ask away!
iv) Public information – It’s sometimes easy to forget that all content posted is public…even in our lovely community! So we encourage you to pretty please refrain from posting confidential personal information (i.e. bank information, address, phone number) and give us a heads up if you see anything like this posted.
